Standard contribution framework
Pag-IBIG Fund Circular No. 460 increased the maximum fund salary used for mandatory membership savings to ₱10,000 effective February 2024.
For monthly fund salary over ₱1,500, the standard employee rate is generally 2% and the employer rate 2%, subject to applicable rules.
Example: ₱8,000 fund salary
At 2%, the employee contribution is ₱160 and the employer contribution is ₱160.
Example: salary above ₱10,000
Where the ₱10,000 maximum fund salary applies, the standard 2% employee calculation produces ₱200 and the standard 2% employer calculation produces ₱200.
Lowest salary band
Under the applicable schedule, an employee rate of 1% generally applies to monthly fund salary of ₱1,500 and below, while the employer rate remains subject to the official rules.

Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum fund salary?
Circular No. 460 increased the maximum fund salary used for mandatory savings to ₱10,000 effective February 2024.
What is the standard employee rate above ₱1,500?
The standard employee membership savings rate is generally 2%, subject to current Pag-IBIG rules.
Does the employer contribute too?
Yes. The standard employer counterpart is generally 2% of the applicable monthly fund salary.
Why might my actual amount differ?
Membership category, additional voluntary savings, payroll circumstances or updated rules can affect actual records.
Why the contribution can stop increasing
The current PaycheckPH salary calculator uses a 2% employee-share estimate subject to a ₱10,000 maximum fund salary assumption. Under that software assumption, salaries above the cap do not keep increasing the estimated employee contribution. This is why comparing the calculator's methodology with the latest Pag-IBIG publication is important whenever contribution rules are updated.
Worked calculator examples
Using the site's current assumption, a ₱5,000 fund salary produces a ₱100 employee estimate, while ₱10,000 produces ₱200. Once the maximum fund-salary assumption is reached, the calculator does not increase the estimated employee share further.
What to verify on an actual payslip
Check the contribution rate, the fund salary or compensation base, any applicable cap, and whether the amount shown is the employee share only or a combined figure. Employer and employee contributions should not be confused when comparing an online estimate with payroll records.
Why PaycheckPH labels this an estimate
Contribution schedules can be amended by circular or implementing guidance. The site's methodology page states the exact assumption currently encoded so users can see what needs to be updated if an official rule changes.
